Safety Please !!
I know there is a lot of people who think that a
clean Buggy and Simple Buggy is the way to go but
I feel that your only putting yourself in danger.
A clean and simple buggy is surely a pretty site but there are other things to consider
other than just how it looks. I know there are those who think they will never have to
deal with a wreck or roll over but this happens to the best of us.

TO THE RIGHT:
This is an example of a beautiful Buggy.
A lot of time and effort went into this ride
to make a great statement. However with
all the effort put into the inside of this
Buggy there is no consideration for one's
safety. Now I do believe that one has the
right to build his buggy his way, I also
know I would be afraid to ride in this
"clean" design as there is no protection!
I would have at least put one roll bar behind the seats and brace it up so it would
stand the surviablity of a roll over. I, myself, prefer to have a front and rear roll bar
for the following reason. We have lost freinds who have rolled over, and due to the
angle of the roll, the front windshield and the rear roll bar collapesed with very sad
results. Its even worse if you roll over onto concret. Also, adding connecting bracing
between the roll bars will prevent anything getting in between the two as you go
over. I know someone who was really hurt when a tree came between the bars and
pinned him.
The picture at the left is an
example of what I am talking
about. Think you might be able
to crawl out or survive
something like this? Just think,
Bruce designed the new
Manxter with THREE roll bars
and connecting brace bars in
between - think the man might
know something? I surely think
he had safety in mind when that
new design came about.
This picture is of my F1 Hawk, notice the roll
cage I designed and had Neil Decker build me. I
never worried about getting hurt in this buggy.
And when I sold it, I felt safe knowing someone
else would not get hurt either. So please study
these pictures closely, and make a wise
desicion.
Now I know some use the statement "K.I.S.S.". ( Keep it simple stupid ). But if you
K.I.S.S. you just might live up to the last word in that statement.
