Hawkeye Fiberglass Buggies
Hawkeye Buggies started several years
ago building their own style Buggy
Bodies. The primary reason was to insure
quality and durability. As anyone knows now days, shipping results in
more damage than a good delivery. I saw several bodies that arrived
at Neil's place broken, chipped, cracked - you know what I mean.
These bodies would come in for a tube frame but nothing could be
done cause of damage. Neil took the idea even further than just make
a body. Neil designed his new hood with ridges to not only to give a
new fresh look but the ridges also provide strength to help the hood
holds its shape for many years to come. This theory is why there are
form lines in the metal cars you drive, its provides the "memory" to the
metal. Neil went a step further. He did not copy a body but took a body
and used a lazor to get everythiing straight and correct. There was a
lot of hours that went into this step but when you see the bodies
coming ot of the mold, you realize this was time well spent.
The dash on the Hawk is Neil's personal design. There is plenty of room for
instrumentation and a radio if you shoose to have it. The overall result is a
clean thick buggy with true form and function. And the results of the quality
is evident in the number orders coming in!

Neil takes the step even further. he can buld you a tube frame to put your
pride and joy on.

These frames are rugged and completely safe. I know, I had one of these
frames and I can tell you there is no flex or failure. As you can see in the
picture to the left that this provides one well built and beautiful buggy. If you
ever get a chance to come to one of our local buggy blast you will find a
whole lines of these little beauties!
This particular build was just right for me with the lower sides
and cage which made entry easy for an old geezer like me. This
car never showed and cracks or failure in the body or frame the
whole time I owned it. When I sold it a couple of years ago ( to
build another car for the wife ), I felt safe in knowing that the
new owner would be safe and happy for years to come.
If you get a hankering for a new "different buggy" then Hawkeye
Buggies is the place to go!

Neil also make a long body Buggy. The graceful lines and lower sides are perfect for so I bought the first one. Add the tube
frame and you have the perfect combination. I designed the Roll cage and Bumpers for the first one.
